Taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade the Logo Programming Language. Introduced LegoLogo, Hyperstudio, Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheet, Drawing, Painting. Organized Multimedia Productions. Scheduled Online activities. Created the environmental group, the Water Watch Team, to monitor the waters of the Hudson River. Conducted word processing and programming workshops for parents and teachers.

Instructor.
Introduced educators pursuing their Master Degrees to selected mathematics and science educational software, and to the spreadsheet/database environments. A major focus was the construction of classroom mathematics and science software using Logo.

Taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade Science curricula and the Logo programming language. Created and operated the “Logo-Style” Science Laboratory. Acted as Teacher Associate with the American Museum of Natural History, and Energy Science Mentor for District 3. Taught word processing and programming to parents and teachers. Served as Technology Coordinator. Held workshop in “Earth Science” for District 3 teachers.

  • Students presented The Hudson River Project, at the American Museum of Natural History during the 1997 Save Our Planet Symposium, and at the UFT Computer and Technology Conference.
  • Students placed First in the 1995 Team Up To Clean Up Citywide and Boroughwide Competition.
  • Student placed Second in the 1994 last BOE’s Citywide Computer Contest.
  • Students exhibited computer generated Ashanti Prints at the Black Books Plus bookstore.1994.
  • Students created and presented computer simulations in the 1993 Global Warming exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History.
  • Students exhibited computer generated African Textiles at the Black Books Plus bookstore. 1992.
  • Students placed Second in the 1991 Citywide Energy Science Fair for a computer simulation on Energy from Fossil Fuel and Wastewaters.
  • Students received Honorable Mention in the 1990 Citywide Energy Science Fair with a Logo simulation on The Effects of Ultraviolet Radiation on the Biosphere.
  • Students placed Second in the 1989 Citywide Energy Science Fair with simulations: Operation of a Nuclear Reactor, and Exothermic-Endothermic Reactions.
  • Students placed First in the 1988 Citywide Energy Science Fair with a computer program on Low Energy Emulsification.
  • Students placed First in the 1987 Team Up To Clean Up Citywide Competition.
  • Student placed First in the 1986 Citywide BOE’s Computer Contest.
  • Students won First Prize in the 1986, and 1985 District Science Fairs for computer simulations: The Return of Halley’s Comet, and Electric Circuits.
